About MTSU REACH

MTSU REACH is a centralized and accessible inventory of research conducted by MTSU faculty and students focusing on the Middle Tennessee region. The site serves as a platform to catalog research on topics such as community life, public policy, health, education, economy, and culture, making MTSU’s contributions to community more visible to both internal and external audiences. By housing this research in one place, MTSU REACH provides a resource for community partners, prospective students, and funding agencies while also showcasing the university’s regional impact.

MTSU REACH builds directly on MTSU’s recognition as a Carnegie R2 research university and will support the university’s application for the Elective Classification for Community Engagement during the 2029 application cycle. Additionally, it aligns with MTSU’s Strategic Plan 2035, particularly:
